Letter to the Editor_

It is irresponsible of you to frame climate change as you do.

Sadly, most of your readers do not care about ice melting at the earth’s poles. They do not feel that it actually affects their lives. The poles are far away.

Climate change is not just a “big thaw”.

It is famine, disease, disaster and forced migration. Climate change is the death of millions. Its end is an unrecognisable planet, the collapse of civilization, the end of life on earth.

I am sure you are aware of this, but failure to mention these topics is failure to provoke outrage.

Outrage, especially towards the fossil-fuel industry, is what we need.
